    CARP March 4 Membership Meeting
    The March CARP meeting be a presentation on Amateur Radio Stamps, another a= spect of the worlds greatest hobby. Lew Roberts KI6YWX will briefly describ=
    e stamp collecting in general and then cover the variety of Amateur Radio r= elated stamps and associated postal items issued throughout the world. Come=
    on out and enjoy an informative presentation as well as a chance to meet a=
    nd chat with other local amateur radio enthusiasts. The meeting will be hel=
    d at the Clovis Senior Center at 850 Fourth Street in Clovis. Please see th=
    e CARP website for more details and directions.

    M2 Open House - Saturday March 19
    The 2011 M2 Open House will be Saturday March 19. Every year, M2 holds this=
    open house as a =E2=80=9CThank You=E2=80=9D to the Amateur Radio community=
    for their loyalty and support throughout the year. You can check out the M=
    2 website or view the M2 Open House Flyer. CARP will be hosting a Transmitt=
    er Hunt to kick off the event at 7:30am. This will be a low-power transmitt=
    er located with-in the local business park. Bring your hand-help DF equipme=
    nt and and be ready to start promptly at 7:30. Oh yeah, the winner will rec= eive a 2m3ss antenna courtesy of M2!

    CARP Transmitter Hunt March 19
    The next area Transmitter hunt will be on Saturday March 19th at 2:00 pm. T= his will be after the festivities of the M2 Open House Event. The start poi=
    nt will be M2 and the transmitter will be within 15 miles of the start poin=
    t. For those of you who have been asking, this hunt the transmitter will NO=
    T be mobile.

    CARP April 1, 2011 Membership Meeting
    The April CARP meeting be a presentation by Ray Harkins KB6LQ and guest on = NASA=E2=80=99s Voyager mission and JPL=E2=80=99s deep space network. We wil=
    l learn much about Voyager and how JPL is able to communicate with the sate= llites at the edge of our solar system. Come on out and enjoy an informativ=
    e presentation as well as a chance to meet and chat with other local amateu=
    r radio enthusiasts. The meeting will be held at the Clovis Senior Center a=
    t 850 Fourth Street in Clovis. Please see the CARP website for more details=
    and directions.

    March of Dimes March for Babies - April 16
    The 2011 March of Dimes March for Babies event will be at Woodward Park on = April 16th. The Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers will be coordinating radio co= mmunications for the event. CARP with the assistance of local hams and amat= eur radio clubs/organizations has been providing this service for over 10 y= ears to the March of Dimes event. This yeas event again coincides with the = International DX Convention weekend. But we still need volunteers to suppor=
    t the event. If you can help out during the event, please email info@k6arp.= org or call us at 559-492-7675.

    International DX Convention - April 15-17
    The 62nd annual DX Convention will be held April 15-17, 2011 at the Holiday=
    Inn Hotel & Convention Center in Visalia, California. The event is a weeke=
    nd filled with Exhibitors/Vendors, Presentations and Prize Drawings. You ca=
    n view this years Program Schedule or the DX Convention Website. This year = the organizers decided not to have a swap meet at the convention. So for th= ose of you looking for a swap meet don=E2=80=99t miss the M2 Open House on = March 19 or the CARP Clovis Swap Meet this fall.

    CARP 2011 Regular T-Hunt Schedule
    This is the tentative schedule for Clovis Amateur Radio Pioneers (CARP) Tra= nsmitter Hunts in 2011. As more are scheduled, they will be listed on the K= 6ARP.org website. The current 2011 T-Hunt Schedule:

    a.. Saturday, May 7th, 2011=20
    b.. Saturday, August 6th, 2011=20
    c.. Saturday, November 5th, 2011=20
    Typically the start point will be Letterman Park in Clovis. Times and locat= ions for the T-hunt will be posted as each date gets closer. Mark your cale= ndars and lets do some T-huntin=E2=80=99!

    ARRL June VHF QSO Party at the Big Landing
    This year CARP will be operating the ARRL June VHF QSO Party from the Big L= anding, 10 miles north-east of Bass Lake. The site gives a commanding view =
    of the valley and to the north and south. The site is right off the main ro=
    ad and accessible to all types of vehicles. If you would like to participat=
    e in this years event please let us know. With the site being so close and = accessible you could even come up for a day or even an afternoon. Email us =
    at info@k6arp.org or phone at 559-492-7675.

    Repeater Site Looking for Tenants
    The communications site that the CARP repeater is located is looking for ad= ditional tenants. If you know of a company looking for tower space that has=
    as great view of the central valley, please let us know so we can get them=
    in contact with the site owner. Email to info@k6arp.org.

    Member Badges/Cards
    As a paid member of CARP you will receive a CARP Member Badge that is desig= ned to attach to a lanyard. The badge not only shows that you are a member =
    of CARP, but also has the repeater access commands printed on the reverse. =
