Howdy!,
I still use Mozilla Thunderbird with a XP computer.
Occasionally I will have a problem after I press the Get Messages
button.
Today it happened again and so far it still says failed to connect to server every time I tried to Get Email.

I spent some time at Mozilla Support reading page after page but couldn't find a solution.

You've restarted your computer and updated Thunderbird? I'm running XP
on a test box with Thunderbird and it works fine, so something must be broken somewhere along the way.

sounds like the server is down or it is rejecting your connection
method in your tbird settings for that email server... maybe they don't like plain cleartext POP3 any more and are requiring secure sessions?
your ISP would have more information if that's the case...
